The cervical lordosis (CL) and range of motion (ROM) of the total cervical spine. (#p < 0.05 compared with preoperative value, *p < 0.05 between two groups). The CL was significantly lower in the ACDF group than that in the type I and II groups at 3 days, 6, and 12 months postoperatively and at the final follow-up (p < 0.05). The ROM of the total cervical spine decreased significantly in all three groups at 3, 6, and 12 months postoperatively and at the final follow-up (p < 0.05). It was decreased mostly in ACDF group, followed by the type I group (p < 0.05). The type II group could preserve the most ROM of the total cervical spine (p < 0.05)
