The UGF and the urinary bladder. 1, ureter; 2, superficial layer of the UGF; 3, urinary bladder; 4, deep layer of the UGF; 5, spermatic vessels; 6, vas deferens; 7, spermatic sheath; 8, spermatic cord. Laterally and inferiorly, the deep and superficial layers of the UGF extend to the spermatic sheath and move through the inguinal ring. Medially, the UGF ensheaths the urinary bladder. The superficial layer ensheaths the posterior urinary bladder wall and the deep layer ensheaths the anterior urinary bladder wall. The ureters, vas deferens, and spermatic vessels move between both layers.
