Schema of the enrolled patients and surgical procedures. We enrolled a total of 110 patients, including 143 surgical cases. After total colectomy, 33 patients underwent proctocolectomy with IPAA. Thirty-three of 34 patients who underwent proctectomy with IPAA had previously undergone total colectomy.
