  1. Radiation was directed to the ileum and leukocytes responses were measured after 2–48 hours. Sham-operated controls underwent identical procedures except undergoing radiation. Responses measured at 2 and 16 hours (n = 5,6). Blood flow velocities were measured off-line by frame-to-frame analysis of the videotaped images. Data are mean ± SEM.
